Vegetation
The Lac Télé Community Reserve contains a range of habitats, including swamp forest, seasonally flooded swamp forest, savanna, terra firma mixed forest, and riparian forest.
The northern part of the Reserve is composed almost entirely of swamp forest, which makes up 49% of the Reserve. Seasonally flooded forest (17% of reserve area) is located around the periphery of swamp forest and is primarily flooded in the high-water season, while riparian forest (8%) is commonly found along waterways. Mixed forest habitat on terra firma makes up approximately 10% of the reserve area, with the majority of the terra firma located in the centre of the reserve. Grassland savannas account for approximately 16% of the reserve area and lie mostly along rivers.
