WCS-Congo and INCEF partnerships in Environmental Education
WCS-Congo has worked in partnership with the International Conservation and Education Fund (INCEF) since its inception in 2004, to create a public awareness program that places a premium on the importance of communications.
The project has employed local media experts to produce a series of fourteen short films in French and Lingala on issues surrounding the preservation of Great Apes and Forest Elephants and the well-being of rural human populations. So far, outreach education specialists have reached 40,000 people in towns and villages throughout Cuvette Ouest, Sangha and Likouala.
