Conservation Education Curriculum
In partnership with WCS-Congo Education Programme, The Ministry of Education, Jane Goodall Institute Education staff is piloting a conservation education curriculum to be used within schools, both public and private, all across the country. Part of the project is school visits consisting of both outdoor and indoor activities. These activities are based on quizzes, games, role-playing, songs.
This project is, hopefully, the beginning of a long-term partnership between WCS-Congo, JGI, Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education. The JGI Education Coordinator, Mr Abel Gousseine, said during one of our meetings: “Partnership is key to raising people’s awareness of conservation issues on a national scale. Let’s keep in touch and swork together.”
