Developing Ecotourism in the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park
Discussions on developing ecotourism at the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park were held in Bomassa in December, when delegates from the Africa Travel Association (ATA) visited the national park. The delegation, which included ATA Director Eddie Bergman and colleague Ogo Sow, discussed the ecotourism development that has already been implemented by Nouabalé-Ndoki management staff, and also suggested how the ATA could promote this work in the future.
During the visit, which ended on 22nd December, the group also visited the Mbeli Bai clearing in the heart of the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park, and stayed at the tourism camp that has been constructed nearby, as well as visiting a local village.
ATA is a travel industry trade association which promotes tourism to the African continent and intra-Africa travel and partnership. For more details visit their web site at www.africatravelassociation.org .
