Capacity Building
Capacity building of wildlife managers, technicians and local communities is essential for the effective conservation of biological diversity in the Congo Basin. Training the next generation of conservationists is a priority for WCS-Congo, through both on-the-job training and formal training sessions and workshops. However, capacity building also means increasing the ability of local communities to act as wildlife managers, through improving the effectiveness of local NGOs or through education and outreach programs.
