International Conservation Education Fellows
Each year, WCS New-York Education Division organizes workshops for environmental senior educators, active in zoos and protected areas. This year, WCS-Congo was invited to New-York and was represented by Nazaire Massamba [far left].
Some of the key points dealt with during the workshop included: designing a curriculum for educational purposes, establishing corresponding projects to address conservation issues, evaluation techniques, fund-raising, etc.
Also, the workshop integrated visits of different WCS facilities. These included: the Bronx Zoo, the Prospect Park, the Central Park, and the Aquarium. The idea was to have participants think of how they might organize themselves in their projects.
