Meeting with ASUDH
From Monday 4th August to Tuesday 5th August 2008, WCS-Congo Program organized a workshop on conservation issues and on laws regulating wildlife and environment in the Republic of Congo.
The workshop, which was organized for representatives of Action de Sécours et d’Urgence pour le Développement humain, ASUDH in short, an NGO working within village communities in Congo, aimed to throw light on challenges of conservation and the laws regulating wildlife and environment.
The idea of organizing the workshop stem from the fact that the civil society, and especially NGOs, knows little about issues surrounding conservation and environment. Because of this, WCS-Congo Program sensitized ASUDH members on the following topics: “Activities of WCS-Congo Program”, “What is conservation”, “Laws regulating forests and environment in the Republic of Congo”, “How to love your environment to better manage it”.
