Research Methods Training
WCS-Congo international and national experts regularly hold training courses at all sites to train Congolese researchers in the skills necessary to monitor wildlife and other natural resources.
For example, regular training courses are conducted in research methodology at the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park headquarters, with support and funding from the US Fish & Wildlife Service. The training courses are open to recent graduates of the Institut pour le Développement Rural in Brazzaville who are considering a career in wildlife management and conservation, and covers all elements of research and monitoring methodology, from project design through data collection and analysis, to report-writing and the dissemination of results.
